We manufacture high quality staircases, such as our Spacemaker stairs, designed using the latest in Computer Aided Design (CAD) technology.

This page includes the various options for our staircases, and information on the Space Saver Stairs we offer.

* All Stairs are pre-assembled in our workshop prior to dispatch.
* Stairs can be sent unassembled (Flat Packed) for assembly on site, in such cases where access maybe a problem.
* Budget stairs also available

Closed String or Cut String - the string is the main plank of timber running up the side of your stair, you can either  have it as a standard full string or a Cut String  that exposes the tops of each tread. The Cut String type can have a shaped bracket on the outside of the string underneath the tread for a more detailed look and can be seen better in the flash image to the right.

Full or Half Risers - We offer two different styles of riser, the standard full riser that you would find on most stairs, or a half riser. The half riser enables light to come through to the underside of the stair ware as the full riser has the underside boxed in and can be a place for a storage area. You can only have a half riser on a standard string type stair. We also offer no riser stairs, this is where there is no riser at all. A bar can be inserted in to the void to replace the risers original position but please note, no riser stairs do NOT comply with UK Building Regulations.

Timber - We have a wide selection of timbers for you to choose from and if you request a specific timber we will endeavour to find it or find something similar. Timbers can be mixed and matched throughout the stair so you can get the style you require. Our standard range of timber are as follows: Pine, Southern Yellow Pine, Hemlock, Hardwood & Oak, MDF is normally used for the treads on a staircase that is to be carpeted.

Balustrade - We have a wide selection of newel posts, spindles and rails to choose from that can be viewed in the Stair Parts section of our web site. We can also match samples of rails, spindles and newels from existing stairs that we do not have as standard in our range.

Design - Every stair that we make is made to measure and unique to your home; below is more information on the Spacemaker stairs for loft conversions. The design of your stair initially depends on the measurements of the well where it is to be situated. Once these measurements have been achieved with the stair then things can be altered to create the stair YOU require (if possible.)
